Visa appointment tracker: what German missions actually publish
Everyone asks how long the wait for a German work-visa appointment really is — and most answers online are guesses. This tracker takes a different route: once a month we record exactly what each mission itself publishes, with source and retrieval date. Where a mission publishes nothing, we say so. No scraping, no agency folklore, no forecasts.

no waiting time publishedNo appointment waiting time is published for national (employment) visas. Applications run either through the Consular Services Portal (with an on-site appointment booked at the end of the online process) or via VFS Global at the location responsible for your place of residence.

German Embassy Manila
waiting time publishedManila is one of the few missions that publishes concrete waiting times: up to 1 month for nurses and most other purposes, up to 3 months for family reunion or marriage.
“The waiting time for an appointment to submit your application is currently: Family reunion or marriage up to 3 months, nurses up to 1 month, all other purposes up to 1 month.”
Booking: Nurses and several recognition-based categories submit in person at VFS Global in Manila or Cebu; most family-reunion and education applications are submitted at the embassy (appointment via the embassy system). The embassy notes that appointments occasionally become available at short notice.

German Embassy Pristina
waiting time publishedPristina publishes waiting times per category in its visa FAQ: qualified employment and EU Blue Card appointments usually take about 2 to 4 weeks; family reunification usually a few weeks; training and study places usually days to weeks. For the Western Balkans regulation, a pre-approval obtained by the employer from the Federal Employment Agency speeds the procedure up considerably.

- • “No waiting time published” is a finding, not a gap — it tells you the mission gives no commitment, and the booking channel is what matters.
- • We do not scrape booking calendars (a momentary calendar view is not a waiting time), do not repeat agency or blog estimates, and do not forecast.
- • Published figures are the missions’ own statements and can change at any time; treat them as orientation, not as a promise.

How long is the wait for a German work visa appointment?
It depends on the mission, and most missions publish no concrete figure. Among those that do: the German Embassy Manila currently states up to 1 month for nurses and most purposes (up to 3 months for family reunion), and the German Embassy Pristina states about 2 to 4 weeks for qualified employment and the EU Blue Card. This tracker records exactly what each mission publishes, with source and retrieval date.

Exclusively from the official diplo.de pages of the German missions. Every row lists its source link and the date we retrieved it. We do not scrape booking calendars, use agency estimates, or make forecasts — where a mission publishes nothing, the tracker says so.
How can I speed up my appointment?
The single most effective published mechanism: for several categories, your employer can obtain a pre-approval (Vorabzustimmung) from the Federal Employment Agency, or start the accelerated skilled-worker procedure under § 81a AufenthG — several embassies state explicitly that this shortens the path to an appointment considerably.
